Gone are the days of the old quick cut and polish. the term used by professionals now is paint correction. the latest techniques and methods far excede the old world of polishing. our desire for better and better results has lead us to discover many hidden secrets of modern day paint systems. resulting in mind blowing shine and perfect reflection of light, unlocking the metal flake and pearl hidden in your paint work. we call it flake pop and its a beauty to behold when done correctly.
The term Paint Protection has a bad rep in australia. Thanks to a major brand having a monopoly on most car dealers in australia. After many years of ripping poor customers off with low quality products, amd untrained application by apprentice mechanics and voiding warranties to avoid liability. Regular dealer paint protection is usually nothing but a paint sealant(plastic wax) that will last 12 months at best. Be wary of lifetime warranties offered as no coating will last forever.
The latest technology in painted surface protection is a SIO2 (silica Dioxide) Quartz coating. Similar to a layer of glass on top of your paint work. It increases marring resistance, has self cleaning abilities and super hydrophobic properties(water repellant) along with beautiful blinding gloss levels.
No self respecting detailer will ever apply a coating to a vehicle without perfecting the paint beforehand.
This involves thorough decontamination of surface impurities bonded to the paint work. Followed by complete paint correction and polishing to achieve the highest level of perfection possible.
Only then do we apply the glass coating to lock in and permanently protect the finish.
